Red Man Tobacco
The year 1952 marked the return of the tobacco card, and after a four-year run it would prove to be the last of the tobacco cards. Unlike the T-cards issued in cigarette packs in the early part of the 20th century, these cards would be more reminiscent of the Tobacco Cabinet Premium cards in that they are a much larger size than the typical cigarette cards. The initial 1952 Red Man set was inserted in pouches of Red Man Chewing Tobacco and measure 3 1/2 by 4 inches with the tab at the bottom still attached. Most of these attractive cards are found with the approximately 3/8-inch tab removed. (Description taken from Beckett Sports Collectibles Vintage #145)
